Rider OS

Terms of Use

Last updated: 14 September 2026

Using Rider OS means accepting these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use the app. The two that matter most: do not operate the phone while riding, and Rider OS is not an emergency service.

1. Safety first

Do not operate the phone while riding. Start a ride, join one and change audio or map settings while stopped. The app is built so that nothing needs touching once a ride is underway; if something does, pull over first.

Following traffic law and local rules on helmets and communication devices is your responsibility. Some countries restrict headsets or intercoms while riding — checking that is on you.

Rider OS is not an emergency service. The SOS feature alerts the other participants of your ride. It does not replace 112, 911 or any official emergency number; in an emergency, call the official services first. Whether an SOS arrives depends on connectivity, device settings and other riders keeping the app running, and cannot be guaranteed.

2. Beta

The app is in closed beta. Expect interruptions, data loss, unexpected behaviour and features that change. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", with no guarantee that it will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for a particular purpose. It is free during the beta.

3. Eligibility and your account

4. Unacceptable use

Any of the following can suspend or end your access:

5. Rides, roles and content

Whoever opens a ride owns it: they can appoint a leader, remove a participant, rotate the join code and hand ownership over. You are responsible for what you post, such as a ride title. We may remove content that breaks these terms.

6. Voice

We do not record what is said on the voice channel; audio is relayed in real time and stored nowhere. We cannot technically prevent other participants from recording on their own devices, so treat a group channel accordingly.

7. Location sharing

Your location is shared only while a ride you joined is running, and only with that ride's members. You can withdraw the permission at any time; you then stop appearing on the map while voice keeps working. See the Privacy Policy.

8. Changes to the service and termination

We may change, add or remove features. If we discontinue the service entirely, we will give as much notice as we reasonably can. We may suspend or end your access if you break these terms.

9. Intellectual property

The Rider OS name, logo, interface and software are ours. You get the right to use the app for personal, non-commercial purposes as long as you follow these terms. You are not granted the right to copy, modify, distribute or create derivative works from it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special or punitive damages, lost profits or lost data arising from use of — or inability to use — the app. Riding safely, choosing your route and how you behave in traffic remain entirely your responsibility. The app is no substitute for attentive riding, obeying traffic law or wearing protective gear.

Nothing here limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

11. Changes to these terms

These terms may be updated; the current version always lives on this page and the date above changes with it. Significant changes are announced in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the new terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye, and the courts of Istanbul have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you keep the right to bring a claim before the consumer bodies and courts where you live.
